The City of Austin is partnering with the Travis County Department of Health and Human Services to develop an official community plan to help residents suffering from drug and alcohol addiction. The proposed plan includes a continuum of care: treatment, withdrawal management, harm reduction, clinical care, and other recovery services. The stakeholders are currently determining what populations need to be served, what services need to be included, and what the community’s funding priorities are.
