Blaby District Council's Community Development Work and Skills Team launched "Building Blaby Futures" to train skilled construction workers. This initiative was developed in response to the growing demand for skilled workers due to the Council's housing development plans. The pilot project has arranged construction industry career workshops to over 170 female students, construction work experience placements for 268 residents, site visits for 34 residents, and developed 10 apprenticeships.
