Phoenix, AZ deploys smart traffic lights at intersections

The City of Phoenix is partnering with NoTraffic to deploy smart traffic lights at key intersections to reduce vehicle and pedestrian delays. The new traffic grid management system will coordinate traffic lights based on demand replacing the previous timer-based model. Additionally, the system detect emergency vehicles and react by autonomously changing traffic lights in real-time to safely provide first responders with the quickest and clearest path through commuter traffic.
