Angus Council, GB Choice-Based Lettings System
Residents in need of council and social housing search for their desired locations using a simple search tool on Angus HomeFinder. A Housing Options Wizard uses answers to basic questions to fill out portions of the online application. The Choice-Based Lettings System prioritizes applicants with special needs or those with longer wait times. Angus Council previously used a point-based allocation system that was less responsive to housing market changes.

Countdown underway for Choice-based Lettings System | Angus Council
Our new housing allocation system – Angus Homefinder – which aims to put the power of choice in the hands of Angus home seekers – launches next month. In preparation for this Choice-based Lettings System and as we move services online, we will no longer accept paper housing application forms from Friday 16 October. Launch date for Angus Homefinder is Monday 2 November. From that date home seekers will be able to apply for housing online via our new Angus Homefinder website.
Giving people more choice about where they live | Angus Council
We’re starting a new housing allocation system from the start of November that will put the power of choice into the hands of Angus home seekers. The Choice-based Lettings System will see Angus Council and its housing partners – Blackwood Homes, Caledonia Housing Association, and Hillcrest Homes – advertise properties for let to registered applicants on a single website – Angus Homefinder. Applicants can bid online for the properties where they want to live.
