Bayside, VIC Smart Parking System Signage Sensor App

The council approved the installation of 10 electronic parking signs near Church Street. Each sign displays open parking spaces tracked in real time by in-ground sensors. This pilot integrates signage and sensors with the UbiPark app to map parking vacancies based on commuter location. Bayside conducted a month-long consultation with 300 participants that informed the project.

Finding an available car parking space in the Church Street shopping precinct will soon be much easier. From Wednesday 22 July 2020, weather permitting, we’re installing 10 electronic car parking signs that communicate with in-ground sensors to display where car parking spaces are available in real time. The in-ground sensors also communicate with the UbiPark app and website,
