Cherwell District Council, GB Affordable Housing Access
The Landlord Incentive Scheme provides up to £15,000 per property for home energy and appliance upgrades. A council-run tenancy search service connects residents in need of affordable housing with participating properties. This scheme pays landlords £1,000 per rented property. The separate Cherwell Bond Scheme assists residents facing homelessness by guaranteeing affordable rents and issuing bonds worth 10 weeks of rent to landlords in lieu of deposits.
