Delta, BC boosts donations to local charities and volunteerism with the Kindness Counts Program
Delta, BC Kindness Counts Program Volunteer Donations
Five street parking meters were converted into donation boxes called Kindness Meters. Delta Community Foundation collects meter donations and distributes them to a local group each month. Students from Delta School District decorated meters with themes like Sunflowers and Wonder in Kindness that build community pride. The city's social media accounts suggested acts of kindness and promoted each Kindness Meter during a three-week kickoff campaign.
