County officials approved $300,000 for a program operated by Envision Greater Fond Du Lac. The fund reimbursed 50% of employer bonuses for new hires relocating from outside of the county. Reimbursement amounts ranged from $4,000 to $15,000 depending on annual salaries. Employees had to stay in their jobs and the county for one year to trigger employer reimbursements. This program addressed workforce shortages and generated additional tax revenues for the county.
