The Environmental Flying Squad combines the efforts of environmental, safety, and area care officers. Squad members use CCTV footage along with community reports to quickly identify and clear illegal waste. Phone calls and in-person visits to residents near incidents gather evidence necessary for prompt ticketing of violators. Council officials also authorize the squad to enforce commercial waste, vehicle tax, and littering regulations.
