The initial version of the Ask Placer County bot answers 375 questions within the purview of the Community Development Resource Agency. Residents receive responses about application fees and county initiatives like the urban foliage project. The Talk to Inspector component allows users to schedule and confirm inspections. County staffers are using data from daily bot use to refine questions and expand virtual services.
