Riverside, CA assembles 30 tiny shelters for the homeless at its Emergency Shelter Cabin Village
Riverside, CA 30 tiny shelters at its homeless access center
The City of Riverside loaned 30 tiny shelters from a Seattle-based company, Pallet Shelters, for its Emergency Shelter Cabin Village. These shelters were assembled by a non-profit based in Anaheim, City Net, and about 12 employees will continue to operate the village. This homeless access center will provide up to 56 homeless individuals with temporary shelter. Homeless individuals are expected to spend approximately 60 to 180 days in the village before graduating to other housing options.
