Salford City Council, GB approves municipal solar farm as part of climate change policy

Salford City Council, GB Municipal Solar Farm Climate Change

In Progress

The farm in Little Hulton will house 5,094 solar panels with an estimated life of 25 years. City officials project that the panels could power the equivalent of 438 homes each year. An on-site hydroelectric system slated for completion in 2022 generates enough power for 200 homes. The Little Hulton project is part of a carbon management strategy that includes sustainable staff travel, LED streetlights, and green space expansion.
