Complete

City officials worked with ENMAX Energy to finance and operate the rooftop panel system. The installation produces 413 megawatt-hours per year, accounting for 60% of the building's energy needs. Spruce Grove cut energy spending by $42,523 per year with few upfront costs thanks to the financing agreement. Extra solar energy produced during off-peak periods can be sold back into the local grid. The Public Works Facility achieves a carbon emission reduction of 290 tons per year.
