Surrey, BC SMART Cart Homeless Resident Outreach Pilot

Surrey officials approved a one-year pilot of this program through July 2023. Each SMART Cart team includes a city bylaw officer and a social worker from Lookout Housing and Health Society. Team members work with homeless residents to determine urgent and long-term needs. The program operates daily from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm. Referrals are made to the Surrey Mobilization and Resiliency Table, BC Housing, and other service providers.
