The City of Unley, SA turns Heywood Park into a smart precinct that improves safety and service

The City of Unley, SA Heywood Park Smart Precinct

Complete

The Heywood Park Smart Precinct uses light control and water monitoring systems to eliminate resource waste. Patrons power up their plug-in vehicles at the charging station and learn about park features at the information kiosk. Smart parking and barbecues connect to an app that helps users plan their trips. Park safety is assured through a network of predictive trail lights and noise-monitoring sensors. The park's assets are monitored by city personnel through a centralized platform.
