The Digital Accelerator Program was a virtual training initiative for small businesses entering the e-commerce world due to COVID-19. Entrepreneurs in the program received up to 15 hours of one-on-one assistance with digital operations and marketing. A Support Action Plan helped the mentor evaluate each participant during check-in calls. Participants left the Digital Accelerator Program with functional websites and tools for online sales success.

The Digital Accelerator Program (DAP) was an action of Maitland City Council’s COVID-19 Response and Recovery program. We supported over a dozen businesses between July 2020 and June 2021 in transitioning from traditional in store retail operations to also include online ecommerce sales.We caught up with local business owners Sherry Theobald from Skate Ape and Mel Anderson
