Boston, MA improved accessibility website text color palette
The City of Boston's Digital Team updated the city's website to improve accessibility after the Disability Commission received an email complaint about the site's color palette. The Digital Team addressed the color contrast issue by adjusting the site's pattern library to meet AA compliance based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. The updated website switches between light and dark options for text colors based on the background color to increase readability.
