Cambridge City Council, GB fulfills sustainability and housing goals with Passivhaus pilot

Cambridge City Council, GB Passivhaus Housing Goals Pilot

In Progress

The first Passivhaus housing development adds 12 new homes at Fern Road. Each home is built with off-site timber components for reduced construction waste. Features like electric heating and high-end insulation reduce utility costs for tenants with limited incomes. The pilot also adds parking spots with EV chargers and improved access to an existing green space. Lessons from the Fern Road development will shape planned Passivhaus homes at Borrowdale and Ditton Fields.
