Canterbury Regional Council created access keys to allows users to navigate its website without needing to use a mouse. These six keyboard shortcuts involving hold the Alt key or Ctrl key along with another specific key to access a list of access keys, the home page, the search function, contact information, the skip link function, and the government portal. The Council continues to improve its accessibility compliance with AA standard according to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
