Dun Laoghaire / Rathdown, IE Smart Accessible Parking Pilot
IoT sensors were installed at 37 accessible parking spaces for the one-year pilot. Real-time data from the sensor network is sent via Cellnex LoRaWAN to the Park Magic mobile app. Drivers easily search for open spaces in Dún Laoghaire with the app. Council officials identify accessibility infrastructure needs with IoT network data. This pilot advances the Smart Dún Laoghaire partnership between the council, researchers, and tech companies.
