Fort Frances, ON FoodCycler Pilot Program evaluates the impacts of household organic waste diversion

Fort Frances, ON FoodCycler Pilot Program Organic Diversion

In Progress

Each household was eligible for one entry into a lottery for discounted FoodCycler countertop composters. Two hundred households paid CAD 175 instead of the CAD 500 retail price and own their composters after the 12-week pilot. Participants record and report weekly usage of their FoodCyclers. Fort Frances and Food Cycle Science will use tracking results as well as exit surveys to determine the environmental impacts of the program.
