Horsens maintains an annual fund of 100,000 Danish kroner split evenly between spring and autumn intakes. Individuals and community groups with sustainable innovations can apply for public funds. The 2020 rounds funded a church renovation project by university design students who reused as many existing materials as possible. The Municipal Waste Pool also funded an elementary school recycling program and a textile repair service.
