Habitat Connections is a free program that assists homeowners in developing welcoming areas for plants and animals. Participants receive native plants each year that support local biodiversity. Customized design advice and workshops on native flora and fauna are offered by council officers. Logan originally introduced the program for houses along waterfronts and nature areas. This program fits into the city's Environmental Conservation Partnerships with private property owners.
