Logansport, IN Solar Farm Renewable Energy Goals
The city's Municipal Utilities Board entered into a contract with Inovaetus to generate solar energy for public buildings. The 16-megawatt farm on the west side of Logansport can power the equivalent of 3,700 homes each year. Logansport and Inovaetus are working with The Center for Pollinators in Energy to plant 70 plant varietals around solar panels. Vegetation reduces the surface temperature underneath panels and improves drainage.
