The all-electric spreaders operate without the emissions or noise of their diesel-powered counterparts. This investment allows for effective treatment of the borough's 1,700 roads while working toward carbon neutrality by 2030. London Borough of Brent is the first local authority in the United Kingdom to go fully electric for road gritting.
