Peachtree Corners, GA paves the way to a green energy future with country's first solar roadway

Peachtree Corners, GA Solar Roadway Green Energy

In Progress

City officials are working with The Ray to line an autonomous vehicle lane with solar-gathering surfaces from Wattway. Energy gathered from the surface panels will produce 1,300 kilowatt-hours per year. Peachtree Corners uses solar energy to power an EV charging station at City Hall. This low-cost energy solution leads to no-fee charging for EV drivers. Local officials will use the pilot to determine if solar power from roadways could offset additional energy demands.
