The City of Edinburgh Council, GB develops innovative pilots for Rapid Rehousing Transition Plan

The City of Edinburgh Council, GB Rapid Rehousing Plan

Planning

The proposed plan includes a homelessness prevention pilot directing staff toward high-risk residents before they lose shelter. A Youth Housing Hub with assessments and referral tools would prevent young residents from reaching the streets. Specialists would be embedded in homeless shelters for on-site care as part of the Pilot Psychologists in Hostels program. If approved, Edinburgh would also expand a Rapid Access Accommodation program created during the COVID-19 outbreak.
