Vancouver, BC approves Tiny Shelter Pilot Project for expanded service to homeless residents
Vancouver, BC Tiny Shelter Pilot Project Homeless Service
The two-year pilot tests how well tiny shelters integrate into existing community services. Ten shelters will be built next to existing non-profits assisting the homeless population. Each shelter includes door locks, electricity, climate control, and storage for up to two people. Participating residents use neighboring facilities for medical care and social services. This project offers an alternative for those concerned about communal shelter living.
