New York, NY prepares for future threats to public services with a Cyber Academy for city employees

The Cyber Academy began with a cohort of 21 city employees designated as Cyber Command Liaisons. New York used training materials from Mandiant for lessons on incident response and threat intelligence. Trainees leverage newly learned skills for departmental initiatives and coordinate efforts with the city's Cyber Command. The city plans additional cohorts of the Cyber Academy with the goal of training liaisons in all departments by 2024.
