The town of Gilbert is partnering with Dell Technologies to implement strategic and proactive cybersecurity technology including a cyber recovery vault, monitoring software, layered passwords, time stamps, machine learning, artificial intelligence, etc. The cyber recovery vault will protect copies of the town's data and IT infrastructure to provide an opportunity to boot up a backup in response to a cyberattack.

Bernalillo County, NM adopts stricter cybersecurity policy with multi-factor authentication process
The Bernalillo County Commission unanimously approved adopting a new cybersecurity policy designed to prevent ransomware attacks. The new policy will replace the existing internet/email policies and require a multi-factor authentication process to access certain accounts. The Bernalillo County systems are now monitored at all times by a Security Operations Center via computer network sensors that send alerts in response to any suspicious activity.

St. Clair County, IL improved cybersecurity with multi-factor authentication and password policies
St. Clair County approved a new policy to add multi-factor authentication to county accounts and raise requirements on county network passwords. The county enacted the policy in order to improve its network's defenses after being targeted with a cyberattack by Grief, a ransomware group, which demanded payment in cryptocurrencies. After the attack, the county's website was down for days and several services were down for weeks including access to court and tax records.
