Flint, MI Mass Transit Authority is digitizing operations via Optibus to improve transport services

The City of Flint's Mass Transit Authority is digitizing its operations with the cloud-based online platform Optibus in order to increase efficiency and combat driver shortages through data-driven decisions. The agency will be using Optibus end-to-end transportation planning and operations software to manage bus planning, scheduling, and rostering with the goal of increasing the quality of public transport services.

Connexin's centralized operating system gathers data from sensors, smart lights, and other assets selected by the city. The differing languages and protocols used by smart assets are converted into a common language through CityOS. Hull officials use this harmonized data to improve visualizations, dashboards, and analyses that determine city policies. CityOS also improves communications between devices and real-time monitoring by city departments.
