Arlington County, VA streamlines its hiring processes by adopting the Spark Hire platform

The Spark Hire platform supports one-way and group interviews for more in-depth conversations than phone calls. Additional features of this platform include full-length recordings, live support, and in-browser use without software downloads.

Oceanside, CA Police Department is using Zoom video-conferencing to share real-time drone images

The Oceanside Police Department (OPD) started using the Zoom video-conferencing tool to delivery important drone surveillance images directly to officers during real-time emergency operations. The OPD is partnering with Zoom and The Unmanned Advantage to develop, Zoom Rooms C2, a method for sharing multiple drone video feeds simultaneously.

Dorset Council, GB introduced virtual family court hearings in response to COVID-19

The local family judge asked the council to develop a process for virtual hearings that complied with legal requirements. Dorset Council selected Skype as the video conferencing medium due to its common use among judges, attorneys, and hearing participants. Personnel from Children's Services, the Child Care Legal Team, and other departments used Microsoft Teams for rapid responses to new issues. Council personnel trained judges to manage and record hearings.

Lake Macquarie, NSW adds video interview technology to accommodate job applicants during COVID-19

Lake Macquarie adopted video interviews after receiving hundreds of applicants for each full-time city position early in the pandemic. Qualified applicants record and submit their answers to interview questions. Each applicant completed a test video before recording their final responses. The city's human resources team credits the technology with increasing candidate comfort with questions and expediting hiring timelines.
