Tucson, AZ deploys 5G/LTE networks for virtual learning
The city of Tucson is partnering with Geoverse, a private cellular network company, to establish and manage its Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS). The CBRS was launched as part of the city's community Wireless Program which uses CARES Act funding to provide internet service to 100,000 students across five school districts. The partnership focused on deploying 5G/LTE networks as cost-effective alternatives to Wi-Fi expansions for virtual learning in order to close the digital divide.
