Atlanta, GA Policing Alternatives & Diversion Initiative
The city of Atlanta's Policing Alternatives & Diversion (PAD) Initiative has expanded citywide to reduce the arrest and incarceration of residents.. Residents can use the ATL311 non-emergency services lines to request assistance with concerns related to extreme poverty, addiction, homelessness, or mental health issues. PAD response teams provide immediate assistance and long-term support as an alternative to involving the Atlanta Police Department.
