Adur & Worthing Councils, GB Food Waste Collection Service
Non-residential customers like shops and schools are eligible for the pilot. Each participant receives a red bin for weekly collections by a dedicated Food Waste Recycler vehicle. The collected waste is turned into biogas for electrical generation at an anaerobic digestion facility. Participating organizations receive Food Waste Recycler signage and stickers to highlight their sustainable credentials. Project leaders also assist organizations with food waste reduction efforts.
