Altamonte Springs, FL CraneRIDES Pilot Autonomous Shuttle

Florida-based Beep will operate two autonomous shuttles on a 1.5-mile route during the pilot's first year. Commuters in Upper Altamonte board at four locations including Altamonte Mall and the Renaissance Center. Each shuttle has a maximum speed of 15 miles per hour and operates seven days a week. The three-year pilot co-funded by the state's Department of Transportation will double the fleet in the second year and expand services to the city's SunRail Station.
