Angers, PDL is conducting a nine-month trial of fully automated and secure bicycle parking hives

The city of Angers installed "Bicycle Hives" the first fully automated bicycle parking structure in France. The bicycle hives guarantee secure parking because nobody has access to the storage space. The bikes are dropped off and collected in an airlock which is accessible via a code sent on the mobile app when the user reserves a parking space. The city is conducting a nine-month trial of the bicycle hives before opening them to the public.

Angers, PDL created a subsidy for the purchase of electric bicycles to encourage eco-friendly travel

The City of Angers Loire Métropole created a subsidy to encourage environmentally-friendly modes of transportation by helping residents purchase electrically assisted bicycles. The amount of the subsidy is set at 25% of the purchase price including tax which is valid only for the purchase of new equipment with a limit of one subsidy per household. The maximum subsidy amount is 400 euros for electrically assisted cargo bikes and 200 euros for electric bikes.
