Bayswater, WA invests in rooftop solar for council buildings on route to 100% renewable energy
Bayswater, WA Rooftop Solar Council Buildings Renewable
The council upgraded its Civic Centre with a 64-kilowatt solar system. Local officials estimate a three-year repayment schedule based on energy savings. Bayswater previously invested in rooftop panels for nine buildings including the Early Years Hub and Bayswater Waves. These panels will help power electric fleet purchases set to start in 2021. Investments in solar energy will help Bayswater reach its goal of 100% renewable energy use by 2030 and net-zero carbon emissions by 2040.
