The Durley Environmental Innovation Hub houses interactive displays on the impacts of single-use packaging on local beaches. Council leaders hope to extend these displays along 10 miles of coastal paths in the future. Hub construction uses locally sourced and recycled materials whenever possible to reduce its carbon footprint. The council hopes to achieve Passivhaus Institut certification of the hub as a zero-carbon facility.
