Bridgend County Borough Council created littler picking hubs as a base of operations for volunteers interested in tidying up their community. Each of the hubs contain equipment including litter picking tools, hoops, high-visibility vests, and trash bags along with health and safety guides. Volunteers can record their locations and the amount of litter collected online to showcase the overall progress. So far, the Council has opened four litter picking hubs and plans to create six more.

Bridgend County Borough Council is collaborating with South Wales Police on a three-month pilot to replace the county's fleet of diesel vehicles with electric vehicles. The goal of the pilot program is to gain approval for funding the purchase of eight electric vehicle charging points. The electric vehicles allow Council staff to travel more efficiently while reducing carbon emissions.
