Carroll County, MD installed Story Stroll an interactive reading experience for county park visitors

The Carroll County Recreation and Parks Department partnered with the Carroll County Public Library to create the "Story Stroll" interactive reading experience. The Story Stroll activity was created by installing 20 book stations along the Deer Park trails each with a section of a book that visitors can read as they walk the path. The county is planning to open another version of Story Stroll at Leister Park this summer.

Carroll County, MD establishes hotline and response team for COVID 19 containment

The Carroll County Health Department opened a dedicated hotline for potential COVID 19 cases to improve staff responses. An Emerging Infectious Diseases (EID) task force worked on containment solutions for COVID 19. The EID - originally convened to prepare for a potential Ebola outbreak in 2016 - assembles emergency services, social services, and school professionals to draw on a broad spectrum of expertise.
