The council-led Cardigan Bay Fisheries Local Action Group (FLAG) provided free kits along four stretches of the coast. Each kit includes a small oil boom that can be deployed at the first sight of a spill as a more comprehensive response is formulated. The kits are stored in weatherproof bins with easy-to-use instructions for community members. Council leaders and FLAG members approved the kits in response to potential oil drilling operations in Cardigan Bay.
