The City of Charleroi utilizes the “Relais-Signes” system to improve accessibility by accommodating deaf people using city services. The Relais-Signes system offers remote interpretation service for telephone calls or short interviews between a deaf person and a hearing person. The city's website now includes a link which connects deaf users with a sign language interpreter in order to directly translate any conversations with city staff.
