Contra Costa County deployed Microsoft Copilot countywide, backed by biweekly training sessions to help staff use AI effectively. The county also deployed AI translation for board of supervisor meetings, replacing human interpreters and making proceedings accessible in multiple languages. AI is additionally used to assist with contract drafting, improving efficiency across administrative functions.

Contra Costa County Health Services is planning the launch of the "Anyone, Anywhere, Anytime" A3 pilot program to improve the handling of mental health emergencies. During the program, clinicians will access medical 911 calls and determine when a crisis response team including behavioral health professionals is needed. The A3 pilot was designed by a group of first responders, mental health advocates, patients, patient families, and local government officials.
