Corner Brook, NL Recycled Glass Sidewalk Project
The pilot placed three sections of concrete mixes on the sidewalk along Citadel Place. Corner Brook used 3%, 5%, and 10% concentrations of commercial glass in these mixes. Each section will be evaluated for longevity, changes in appearance, and maintenance needs. The city's use of recycled glass in paving projects could reduce raw material costs while keeping glass out of landfills.
