Derby City Council, GB reduces city center littering during its smart bin trial

Derby City Council, GB City Center Smart Bin Trial

In Progress

Two hundred bins in the city center were outfitted with Enevo sensors. Each sensor is connected to an analytics platform that estimates fill levels and requests collections from council personnel. Bin data also assist Streetpride teams in identifying locations for new bins. Derby City Council wants to not only cut down on littering but reduce staff time and vehicle emissions from low-fill collections.
