Derby City Council, GB encourages sustainable local deliveries with e-cargo bike program

Derby City Council, GB E-Cargo Bike Program Local Deliveries

In Progress

City-backed Cycle Derby received eight e-cargo bikes and made five available for free to local businesses. Participating businesses receive training from Sustrans and use the bikes for up to six months. Local officials hope companies replace vehicles with e-bikes after experiencing their benefits. Cycle Derby, Bike Back Derby, and Sustrans will each use one bike for services ranging from transporting newly employed residents to gathering donated bikes.
