East Devon District Council, GB piloted robot mowers at three parks in effort to reduce costs

East Devon District Council, GB Robot Mower Park Pilot

Complete

Automated mowers from Ambrogio, Bell, and Husqvarna were tested at parks in Exmouth and Honiton. Each mower uses sensors and GPS technology to mow park lawns without human operators. Council officials used the mowers at night from spring through autumn to avoid park patrons. East Devon District Council evaluated mower performance in comparison to estimates that operating costs could be reduced by 30%.
