Falkirk Council, GB Grangemouth Community Solar Farm

Ideation

The council conducted a geospatial analysis of 28 potential sites in the Falkirk and Grangemouth Investment Zone. This review was informed by months of online community engagement showing a desire for green energy sources. The Grangemouth Flexible Solar Project will provide zero-emission energy in an area that produces 30% of Falkirk's industrial emissions. Residents and business owners benefit from lower energy bills as the council works toward net-zero emissions by 2045.
