The District Office of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg is converting 30 streets into temporary playgrounds. In order to establish these safe play areas for children, the district office is asking residents to register to help with street maintenance. Once seven residents are registered for a particular street the district office orders blockages, enacts traffic regulations, deploys park management supervision, and installs water stations.
